Import Bond Application for Non USA Resident

The Import Bond Application for non USA resident will eliminate the Single ISF Bond fees and most of the Single Entry Bond fees for the next 365 days. If you are a U.S resident applicant, use the U.S Resident form instead. For all renewals of the Continuous Import Bond, must be renewed 6 weeks in advance.

After Submission of this Application

After clicking submit, you will see what you have submitted. Please print it out and save it for your records. Within 24 - 48 hours, the Customs Border and Protection will issue a Custom Assigned Number. This number is a 10 digit number. However, if customs requires additional information, then the foreign company would need to provide such information such as tax I.D. from the country of origin. For the foreign company, the tax I.D. document needs to be in English format for customs to review.

When the Custom Assigned Number is issued by U.S. Custom, within hours we will prepare two forms and email them to you, so all you have to do is sign and e-mail or fax us back.

Additional requests would include

  1. Customs may request a simple financial report from the foreign company.
  2. A written letter of intent (LOI) from the foreign company on the foreign company’s letterhead with an explanation of why they want to apply for a Custom Assigned Number and what they will do with the import bond the foreign company acquired.
  3. Customs may also want to know whom the foreign company is selling to in the US and may request to contact the US company to verify the foreign company's explanation.
  4. It must pay a $50 fee for a custom assigned number as well as a bond fee. Wired to our bank before it can be submitted to U.S. Customs.
  5. Within 10 working days later, you will be receiving a Bond Certificate.

Note: US Customs has the discretion to modify the bond active date. All costs are based on your good credit. Also, all premiums are fully earned for 1 year at $876.33 (Minimum Premium).
